Diners - “Domino”

Diners - “Domino”

Diners are making my summer much better. Yes, I live in New Jersey and enjoy frequenting those wonderful 24-hour eateries, but I’m actually referring to the musical project of Los Angeles-based songwriter Blue Broderick. The sunshine in her latest single as Diners, “Domino,” is hard to ignore. It’s warm, full, and radiating with beams of jangly guitars and honeyed vocal melodies that just scream summertime. It’s mega catchy guitar pop.

“Domino” is the title track from Diners’ forthcoming album, which is due out on August 18th via Bar None Records. We raved about the record’s lead single, “The Power” last month, and the album’s titular track is additional evidence of Broderick’s acuity for crafting earwormy hooks. It seems like the entire album is gonna be full of ‘em.

Broederick share the following about the track:

“Domino” is “a jangling introspective rocker about reminding everybody to give themselves more grace and credit than they might think they deserve. This music was deeply inspired by Emitt Rhodes and has my favorite guitar solo on the record.

Domino is set for release on August 18th via Bar None Records. You can pre-order the record on limited edition vinyl via Bandcamp. Keep up with Diners by following them on Instagram.
