Triptides - "As You Can See"

Triptides - "As You Can See"

The prolific Triptides rarely take a year off. The project has released a whopping 12 records since forming in 2011. In addition to full-lengths, Glenn Brigman, the songwriter behind Triptides, has also released a handful of 7-inch singles and EPs. Despite the quantity, there hasn’t been an issue with quality.  There’s hardly a dud in the band’s vast catalog, and that includes their brand-new full-length, Starlight.

The final single from Starlight is the bouncy “As You Can See.” Since the release of Alter Echoes in 2021, Brigman has made the piano/organ more of a focal point in his melodies. This gorgeous song follows that trend, as his bright and airy playing is its defining characteristic. The band’s continued shift towards a crisper, more production-rich sound is also apparent, as it’s hard to find any trace of fuzz on this track, or the balance of Starlight.

Starlight is out now via Curation Records. You can order a copy of the album on vinyl via Bandcamp. It’s also available on all streaming platforms.

Triptides is about to embark on a European tour. For a full list of dates and more information, follow the band on Instagram.
