Absolutely Yours - "Fumble And Float"

I had a blast hanging out with the delightful Absolutely Yours for an episode of Look At My Records back in the Summer of 2018. So, naturally, I was thrilled to learn that they’ll be releasing their third full length, Natural Wonder, on June 26th. Last week, the band shared their latest tune from the soon to be released album, “Fumble And Float,” which features vocals from the band’s newest member, Kelsey Duchesne. 

“Fumble and Float” is the second single off of Natural Wonder, and it’s a woozy and saccharine dream pop gem.  The addition of Duchesne on lead vocals adds another sonic layer to the band’s already shimmering sound, creating some bright harmonic moments with guitarist Bridget Collins that really permeate in the choruses.  The guitars remain infectious and ringing, just what we’re used to from this quartet, while the lyrics confront the pain of watching someone you love leave while you’re at your most vulnerable.
