Shred Flintstone - "Trashed"
Shred Flintstone have really impressed me with how they’ve grown as a band over the last few years. Since the release of their first EP Cartoon Physics in 2017, they’ve put the work in, gigged super hard, and sharpened their sound. Despite the massive bump in the road that’s been 2020, the fruits of their strong work ethic are starting to come to fruition. If you had the chance to catch their live show before the pandemic, you already know what I’m talking about. They’ve given new meaning to the name Shred Flintstone by cranking up the fuzz, keeping the energy levels at stratospheric highs, and taking the riffs to face-melting levels.
For now, we can only dream of one day getting our faces melted by Shred Flintstone in the flesh, but in the interim, they’re releasing a brand new EP of crunchy tunes called Shred’s Dead on September 4th. The first single from the EP, “Trashed,” sees them taking their garage rock style into a more psychedelic direction. The song is awash in distorted guitars, absolutely pounding drumming, and kaleidoscopic vocals. If you’re a fan of the heavier psychedelic sounds of bands like Frankie and The Witch Fingers and Thee Oh Sees, then you’ll love this song.
Pre-order Shred’s Dead via Bandcamp and stay tuned, as the band has another single dropping on August 28th. Keep up with the band by liking them on Facebook and following them on Instagram.
They also shared a video for “Trashed,” which was directed by Spaghetti Jesus. Check it out below!
