Attawalpa - "Done Hanging On" (Wolf Alice Remix)

We couldn’t get enough of “Done Hanging On,” the recent single from the uber-talented, London-based musician Attalapa. So, we were quite excited to hear that Joel Amey of the incredible Wolf Alice took a swing at remixing the track. The verdict is in, and Amey definitely hit it out of the park with his unique, dance-inspired interpretation of one of our favorite tracks of 2020. 

Though the two have been mates for some time, this is their first collaboration. Amey's take on “Done Hanging” injects a bit of controlled chaos into the song, resulting in a fierce and groove-laced version of the original. The track starts out with a toe-tapping beat and a cool ocean of ethereal, spacey synths and other enveloping electronic sounds. Attalapa’s vocals kick in at just the right moment and take control, shedding some of the background instrumentation for the duration, before the track plunges back into a stormy sea of expansive electro-beats and synths. It’s a cool and totally different sounding take on the original that you’ll definitely enjoy.
