Tampa’s Glove Announces Forthcoming Debut Album “Boom Nights,” Shares Live Video For Single “Behavior”
Today, Tampa new wave quartet Glove is sharing an eerie and dark offering from their forthcoming debut full-length, Boom Nights. The track, which is titled “Behavior,” is a chilly and rhythmic combination of saturated synth-pop, krauty basslines, and rock and roll swagger. There’s a rawness to the song that gives it some serious personality, allowing the band to sound poised and confident, as its insistent beat locks into a steady groove with synergetic guitars and synths that build off of each other.
If you listen closely, you’ll start to notice that the song is a natural product of the setting that spawned it, as singer/guitarist Rod Wendt shared that the band “transformed our living room into an immersive cloud space for this live video experience.” Lyrically, the song works in tandem with its sonic mood, as Wendt shared that “Behaviour” is about “a static reaction to operate and perform as you’re told – a chain reaction of words and expressions.”
