Lovechild - "Love Me All Up"

Lovechild - "Love Me All Up"

“Love Me Up,” the latest single from Brooklyn psych-rock outfit Lovechild, is a trip. The song, which dropped last Friday, takes listeners on a journey back to the 60s and 70s with a jagged, yet soulful sounding style of psychedelia that sits somewhere between classic acts like The Rolling Stones and Love. The track’s dizzying psych-pop melodies are infused with just the right amount of blues-influenced rock and roll, as the opening riffs flow with infectious electricity before frontman Leo Lovechild’s voice kicks in with raw emotion. “Love Me Up” is certainly dripping with warped and fuzzy guitars, but it’s an impassioned love song at heart, as Lovechild explained, "we wanted to give the song that same sense of romantic angst and that same live feeling that the songs in the long line of timeless soul ballads all manage to achieve."

In conjunction with the release of “Love Me All Up,” the band also shared a video for the song, which is also a trip, but not as far back in time.  Instead, it captures some of the trio’s road musings from the last several years on grainy VHS tape. Stream the video below and listen to the song on your streaming service of choice.
