ATALHOS - "Tierra Del Fuego"
We’re excited to premiere “Tierra Del Fuego,” the lead track from Brazilian dream-pop band ATALHOS’ new album A Tentação do Fracasso, which is out today. The ethereal Portuguese language epic starts out in a rather unassuming fashion with some light jangly guitars, but it gains steam rather quickly. Across its staggering six-minute runtime, the duo of Gabriel Soares and Conrado Passarelli manage to run the gamut when it comes to delectable sonic ear candy, incorporating hazy synth textures, mesmeric beats, and enchanting vocal melodies. It’s a true aural delight, and given that it was produced by Ives Sepúlveda of The Holydrug Couple, the song definitely carries some of the hallmarks of that Chilean psych duo.
“Tierra Del Fuego” was mastered by legendary American producer Greg Calbi (Tame Impala, The War on Drugs, Bon Iver) at Sterling Sound, along with the other eight tracks that make up their sumptuous latest album.
