Hot Knives - "Static Bloom"

Hot Knives - "Static Bloom"

We’re stoked to premiere “Static Bloom,” the new single from Brooklyn’s Hot Knives. The track is the first offering from their forthcoming album, Making Love To Make Music To Make Love To, which is set for release on May 7th.

The trio delivers an absolute scorcher of a song in “Static Bloom,” complete with riffs that are so big and gnarly that you may very well melt into a smoldering pile of goo mere seconds after they hit your eardrums.  Their guitar playing is certainly huge, evoking psychedelic legends like Roky Erickson, but it’s also a wild-eyed and weird track with roaring vocals and thunderous grooves that simply don’t let up. The band’s description of the track matches its untamed sonic nature, as via e-mail, they simply shared: "Love is static bloom. This song describes a moment in eternity, suspended in the throes of the beauty of love." That may be hard to understand in the abstract, but give the track a listen and then tell me you don’t get it!
