Episode 129 of Look At My Records! features an interview with Teen Idle, the project of Asbury Park songwriter Sara Barry. Teen Idle just released their debut EP, Insomniac Dreams, last week. We were stoked to premiere it here on the site! So, naturally, we chatted all about the EP’s coming of age themes and its massive shoegaze influenced sound.  Plus, you’ll hear all about Sara’s beginnings playing music at Lakehouse Music Academy in Asbury Park, the recently released Songs From Quarantine Compilation that she put together, and the formation of Teen Idle towards the waning days of her college years in New York City.  We also chatted about and played some great records from Sasami, Dentist, Yo La Tengo, and St. Vincent!

You can purchase Insomniac Dreams via Bandcamp.  The EP is also available to stream on your platform of choice, including Spotify. Stay tuned, as cassettes will be available soon via Green Witch Recordings

The Songs For Quarantine Compilation, which features music from Teen Idle, Deal Casino, and more, is available for purchase on cassette and digital download via Bandcamp.
